I am a sophomore student athlete studying Graphic Design at Montana State University. In this program I have learned a great deal about graphic design and have built a solid foundation in digital artwork and am passionate about creating visually compelling work.
Born and raised in Missoula Montana, I grew up surrounded by people that heavily value being creative. My mother, a very accomplished poet and my sister who has been painting and drawing every day of her life as well as my dad who when he isn't on the water fishing, he's playing guitar or working on one of his welding projects, my whole family has played a huge part in my creative journey. For me, creating art has always been a way for me to decompress, weather that be playing the drums or drawing in my sketchbook, being creative has always been important to me.
I have been taught many lessons through all the sports that I have participated weather it be mental toughness, creative ways to solve problems, or even just learning how to put your head down and do the work. All of these lessons have played a huge part in my graphic design journey, despite not having any adobe experience coming into college.
In the coming years here at Montana state I plan to continue to refine my skills and keep learning and having fun with design. After I graduate, I hope to work at a design agency helping them create meaningful and inspiring work.
